LOCATION:Red Dirt Reservoir is located in the Gore Pass area off HWY134 in the Routt National Forest. It is approximately 40 miles east of Yampa in between the towns of Toponas and Kremmling.DESCRIPTION:Small area offering dispersed camping at the reservoir and rainbow trout fishing. Red Dirt Reservoir is managed by the Yampa Ranger District.RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES: Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and scenery viewing.KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: The area was burned in 2018 by the Silver Creek Fire so visitors can expect to still see a burn scar.
