Lone Pine Campground

Bureau of Land Management · Oregon

Lone Pine Campground in Oregon. Ringed marker is this site; the other dots are the 790 public campsites we map in Oregon.

Located on a sleepy bend of the North Fork John Day River, Lone Pine Campground offers one shady campsite along the river with the remainder of the campsites in full sun. All campsites are flat and can accommodate larger vehicle-trailer combinations. Lone Pine Campground's convenient location makes it a great base for explorations further up the North Fork John Day River or any of the three units of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.
