Strom Thurmond Lake provides excellent boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, hiking and picnicking opportunities. Recreation Thurmond Lake provides some of the best fishing, hunting, and water sports in the southeastern US. Anglers fish for largemouth bass, bream, crappie, catfish and striped bass.
